JKLNTP Calendar(s) is an ongoing and long-term collaboration between Jennifer and Noah, who (as part of a decades-long artistic dialogue) produce a monthly collage occupying the upper half of their shared calendar. These mixed-media works form an intimate and lyrical evolving visual duet, merging daily life and creative practice. Recurring image motifs and materials weave through found and traditional media, balancing playfulness with experimentation. Approaches found in this visual conversation include: call-and-response, challenges and contrasts, amplifications and rhythmic repetition, subtle additions, and bold moves, among others. The imagery and materials for these collages comes from very private as well as quotidian sources, and reflects both personal and global events, sometimes directly, sometimes abstractly or symbolically. Each piece exists only within its month, marking time through layered gestures. (The lower halves of the calendars, containing the artists’ schedules, notable events, plans, schemes, and dreams, are not depicted here for privacy / personal reasons.)
